About Me
1
I’m a wife and mom of three. I teach piano lessons, and love self-help books. I carpool and I sacrifice for my kids karate lessons.
I love baking, and even more than that, I love blogging. I don’t have any kind of formal baking training, and that’s the point of this blog. It’s not meant to be fancy or complicated. The recipes are meant to bring better and more varied cookies to everyday life. My one hard and fast rule: no ingredients from specialty stores. If I can’t buy it at my local grocery store, I’m not using it.
I also love to interact with friends, and love to make new friends, so I hope you’ll comment or drop me a line!

100 Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipes
This blog is dedicated to cookies. All types of cookies. But let’s face it, when it comes right down to it, it’s all about chocolate chip.
Caramel Stuffed Chocolate Chunk Cookies
I had been wanting to make some caramel-stuffed cookies anyway, and since it was my niece’s birthday, I decided to use Rolo candies instead of caramels to stuff the cookies.
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Dip
The idea of this cookie dough dip really appeals to me. It’s all about the chocolate chips. The dip, and whatever you dip in it, is just a delivery system for the chocolate chips.
Peanut Butter Snickers Ice Cream Pops
This week, I decided my portable snacks ought to be homemade, and since I recently purchased some new popsicle molds, I figured this was the perfect opportunity to test them out. Also, it gave me an excuse to eat Snickers.
Frozen Hot Chocolate
I actually regret teaching my kids this recipe, because now every other time I come in the kitchen, I find empty cocoa packets on the counter, a dirty blender in the sink, and empty whipped cream can, and most importantly, no frozen hot chocolate for me.
Orange Blueberry Whoopie Pies
I love everything about citrus fruits, except eating them plain. Personally, I’d rather bake with the oranges. Which is what I did today.
Chocolate Covered Cheesecake Bites
Dipping things in chocolate is all the rage. It’s like the trend that never goes out of style, because it’s always awesome.
Butterscotch Blondies
Mom used to make these in a sheet pan and cut the crust off before serving them. Grandpa would always sneak into the kitchen and eat the crusts. He always said they were the best part! I think he was also a little worried my mom would throw them away.
May 2014 Wrap-up
I know it’s such a boring and cliche thing to say, but seriously?! I cannot believe May is over. This entire year has flown by me way too quickly. And you know me, I love remembering where I’ve been as much as I love planning where I’m going, which means it’s time for another monthly wrap-up post.
S’mores Cookies
This is not my first time baking with graham crackers. In fact, adding some graham cracker crumbs to the chocolate chip cookies is just SO fantastic. It gives a little unexpected oomph to the cookies. I figured some marshmallow frosting would put these right over the top.
Raspberry Sorbet
Sorbet is crazy simple to make (this one has only 5 ingredients!), and it’s easy to make it really delicious. I added a mint leaf to my dish, and I loved what the mint did for the flavor.
Toasted Coconut Popcorn
Maybe you’ve heard me tell you before how often we eat popcorn, and how much we love coconut. It’s only natural that I should put coconut and popcorn together. Honestly, I’m surprised I haven’t done it before now.
Royal Icing
Royal icing is an icing that is great for decorating cookies, it dries hard so you can stack the cookies and even ship them. It is smooth, pretty, and easy to color any color you want.
Double Chocolate Cookies
I couldn’t get these Double Chocolate Cookies out of my head, mainly because of the one ingredient that makes them so different. One surprising little spice makes these cookies unique and memorable.
Cinnamon Coffee Cake
I’m having a chunk of coffee cake right now, as a matter of fact. I’d tell you it helps me think, but honestly, the only thing I’m thinking about is crumb topping. And lots of it.
